NEO-METRIC
Neo-metric is an architectural exploration that synthesises the geometric rigor of De Stijl and the spatial abstraction of Neo-plasticism into a refined spatial composition. Developed through an experimental graphic language, the project interprets counter-construction principles into built form, using openings, enclosures, and transitional elements—such as stairs, steps, and circulation paths—to choreograph movement through space.
Rejecting singular directional order, Neo-metric creates a dynamic interplay between form and void, interior and exterior, and structure and transparency. It investigates varying degrees of spatial openness—open, semi-open, semi-closed, and closed—while articulating boundaries through geometric abstraction. The result is a spatial experience that balances order and abstraction, offering a layered interpretation of modernist principles reimagined through contemporary architectural language.
